In-house Ancillary Testing

Conroe Willis Family Medicine is pleased to offer you the convenience of on-site ancillary testing and lab work.

All tests are done in the office, typically covered by insurance, and most often can be performed in 30 minutes or less.

Benefits of Ancillary Testing

These tests improve the diagnosis and proper treatment of common diseases such as emphysema/COPD, coronary artery disease, diabetes, pre-diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, and seasonal allergies. We can also use these test results to determine how well you metabolize current medications that you may be taking as well as to assess your current diet.

On-site Ancillary Testing at Conroe Willis Family Medicine

Pulmonary functioning (PFT)

A pulmonary functioning test (PFT) is used to determine how well your lungs are functioning. This test measures the air that you breathe in and out and can be used to diagnose common lung conditions such as asthma, allergies, chronic bronchitis and more.

Comprehensive Lipid Testing (Cleveland Heart Labs)

Blockage in your arteries can cause heart disease and congestive heart failure. Comprehensive lipid testing can measure your risk for heart disease and can also be used to manage and monitor related treatment.

Allergy Testing

Untreated seasonal allergies can lead to chronic coughing, nasal congestion, and fatigue. Skin or blood tests can help determine which specific things trigger your allergic reactions. Both methods can be safely used for both children and adults.

ABI (Ankle-Brachial Index) Testing

Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is caused by a buildup of plaques in your blood vessels and can lead to other critical conditions such as stroke and heart attack. Measuring your blood pressure at your ankle and arm while at rest, ABI testing can tell you whether PAD is present and the effectiveness of treatment.
