Michael Walls, M.D. was born in Huntsville, Alabama and grew up in Clear Lake City, Texas. Dr. Walls received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Bioengineering. While at Texas A&M, Dr. Michael Walls played on the varsity hardball team and was elected to the following honor societies: Apha Epsilon Delta (premedical), Tao Beta Phi (engineering), and Alpha Eta Beta (bioengineering). Dr. Michael Walls completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, Texas. There he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Affiliated Hospitals including Memorial Herman Medical Center. Dr. Walls then completed his Nephrology fellowship at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Michael Walls is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and subspecialty of Nephrology. Dr. Michael Walls has co-authored a book chapter entitled “Hypertension in Chronic Renal Failure, Dialysis and Transplantation.” In the text book, Current Therapy in Nephrology and Hypertension, Dr. Michael Walls was an advisor for the American Board of Internal Medicine of submission and review of test questions for board certifications.
